A New Kind of Energy

Ali Bogner, A Woman Who Wants to Awaken Us All

Existing as the source of the Renaissance, Florence was a vortex for people seeking inspiration and transforming their creative voices into extraordinary expression.  With its strong natural ley lines running throughout the land, its beauty and nature have tended to go even further, lending a more profound urge towards humanism and spiritual connection.  After all, the ripple effect of what began in Florence, went on to influence the rest of the Western world.  There is something potent about this place.

Perhaps again, Florence is experiencing another sort of vortex-effect which draws people who seem to be awakening to a vibrational rebirth that bridges spirituality, quantum physics and natural intelligence.  Ali Bogner is one such person.  Both teacher and healer, Bogner has been conducting energy awareness classes since 2014 to an international community of both adults and teenagers alike.  Born to Italian parents, who raised her in Brooklyn New York, she and her nuclear family took the decision to re-locate to Italy in 2013. “There is something here in Florence,” she smiles.  “There is an energy here that draws people to her.”  For Bogner, Italy in general and the land itself is seen as a powerful and positive vortex.   She intuits that the collective unconscious of Italians has its particular vibration historically rooted in faith – the Etruscan idea of the afterlife, the strong paganism of the Greeks and Romans, nearly two thousand years of Christianity and core belief in Nature herself.  “Italy has historically been a holy land,” Bogner explains.  “The vortexes and ley lines here have a lot to do with resonating higher spiritual energy.  That is why this place is so ripe.”

Being acutely sensitive to a sense of space her entire life, energetic vibrations are no stranger to Bogner. “I furthered my interest in feng-shui, as I have always been sensitive to earth energy and am intuitive of my surroundings,” she recalls. “Gradually I began to study it, so I could put words to my feelings.” Travelling to Asia in 2005, she sought out feng-shui grandmaster Raymond Lo and trained with him. A few years later, she then expanded her education to learn dowsing with another famous feng-hui master Marie Diamond. Eventually, Bogner gradually began creating her own method that integrated both the dowsing and the feng-shui. Her practice grew as she found enthusiastic clients in her hometown of New York, helping the modern urban woman unblock their homes, apartments, relationships and then ultimately, their lives. “There is so much shifting energy that lies underneath our structures, and our houses,” she explains. “Your environment is a mirror of how you are living. It sends a strong message.”

Shortly before expatriating from America, Bogner had further expanded her energy training to not only include spaces and places, but to people as well. “I wanted to work with shifting people,” she explains. “So I started learning about energy healing.” Her journey towards working directly with people was the natural, most obvious progression to take. Being a student of Kabbalah with her husband since the late 1990s, she was already well acquainted with the subtle energy of the spiritual and the mystical world and the distinctions between matter and spirit. “In Kabbalah we say that one person who studies and who does the work, is just as good as a 1000 people,” she explains. “1000 people are supported by one vibration. This is the ripple effect!”

Always the intrepid learner, Bogner’s first year in Italy was devoted to synthesizing all she had learned, practiced and studied about the workings of energy, and eventually formed it into something more concrete to share with people. “Italians are very ‘feng-shuied’, naturally,” she explains. “The way Italians build things, arrange their homes, their sacred geometry and architecture and the way they live their lives – the knowledge is there deeply, collectively.” This realisation further validated to Bogner that shifting people personally, instead of concentrating upon their living spaces, would be her next step. “I began devising my own method incorporating all I had learned about energy, about how I would have wanted to have learned it and how I would want to eventually teach it,” she recounts. “My theme was energy awareness.”

“THE COLLECTIVE CONSCIOUSNESS HAS BECOME A VERY BAD REALITY SHOW, WHERE EVERYONE IS PROJECTING THEIR FEAR, ANGER, ANXIETY.”

“WE HAVE THIS INCREDIBLE POWER TO CREATE THESE RIPPLE EFFECTS WHEN WE ARE AWARE OF OUR ENERGY AND USE IT AS A FORCE TO AFFECT OTHERS IN A POSITIVE WAY.”

Opening her home to host a weekly yoga class for students taught by a friend, Bogner was eventually called and approached by the students to further their knowledge and understanding of energy work. Bogner then took the decision to offer her four-week curriculum and go from there. “After I finished my second class, I decided then, let us build a community,” she recounts, giving her wide smile. “That is how we are going to make the change by giving people the tools to become more aware of their energetic frequencies, empowering them to help themselves, and using their energetic frequencies in the most effective way for the community.”

Doing this sort of energy work and teaching the tools does not happen overnight. It is a subtle process. Asked what one of the greatest re-occurring blocks is that inhibits students, Bogner names anxiety as one of the big culprits afflicting the undercurrent of the Western world these past few decades. “I raised two millennials in New York and gradually began witnessing their anxiety, their ability to become easily offended, their entitlement, their lack of humour, the pressure and fear that they feel about the future,” she recounts. “When, I arrived in Italy, I saw the same thing happening although to a lesser degree as here the family is still a strong structure, the youth have a home, and they have healthcare and their basic needs met.”

Increasingly, Bogner believes that if humans continue to align themselves with this frequency of anxiety – the news, the politics, financial scarcity, environmental despair, the constant social media input – that it will only lead to dire consequences. “The collective consciousness has become a very bad reality show, where everyone is projecting their fear, anger, anxiety,” she frowns. “What we are failing to realise is that we are all one. One frequency affects the other and when you are constantly having issues and not taking responsibility for your own negative vibrations, then your frequency feeds into the collective community and lowers the vibrations of the whole.”

For Bogner, the first step to healing this collective culture of anxiety, begins with the thought process. Science supports this and research has led her to the realm of quantum physics which is exploring the primordial connections of life. There is relationship between everything and the paradigm is as such: there is the primal source and one which is created, and between the two, there exists a field; that which is observed is changed; how you look at something changes it; how you think about something alters it. “I am here to help people take responsibility of their own happiness, for their own reactions and to help them see how their frequency greatly affects others,” she details. “By simply helping people to change the way they think is a huge step towards an awareness that their thoughts hold a very strong vibrational frequency.” The idea of quantum physics completely supports and validates her approach to energy awareness.

“In the Kabbalah, we speak of the Remembrance – which is similar to a generational ripple effect – that is in our cellular level when we are born,” she continues. “With the current day study of genomes it is being proved that our DNA is affected by the trauma from the past which can be generational.” For Bogner, whose goal is to break this anxiety generation, she feels that at the moment, there is a deep sadness with the millennials and with the young population, as Nature is not being honoured. “A lot of anxiety is occurring, because people are not rooting nor grounding themselves in Nature, she explains. “They are searching. They are fearful. They are not conscious of the healing nature of Nature. Anxiety is the opposite of faith.”

Six years on, Bogner is becoming more reflective about her energy awareness work, and always amazed by the human capacity of her students to want to change their lives and do good things. “I have been called to Italy for a purpose,” reflects Bogner. “What if, in the land of the Renaissance, we change the conversation again? People are realising that there is a collective power of focused intentions that is creating change and healing others. What else extraordinary can we do if we focus our intention upon something?”

For Bogner, the ripple effect is a very real thing which she experiences often. “We have this incredible power to create these ripple effects when we are aware of our energy and use it as a force to affect others in a positive way,” she beams. “We can generate a spiritual Renaissance – not in any religious sense but rather an awareness that there is something beyond the ‘material’. It is the energy that ripples forward and connects us all.”
